Jennifer: One of My Favorite Clients
Jennifer was one of my favorite clients back in the ’90s.
Why?
Because she HUNTED me down for information.
Morning.
Afternoon.
Night.
It didn’t matter.
She called.
She asked questions.
She showed up.
She wanted answers.
Most people want results.
Jennifer wanted understanding.
She wasn’t looking for shortcuts.
She wanted to know why something worked, how to do it better, and what she could improve next.
She wanted results more than almost anyone I’ve ever trained.
And that’s the kind of client who makes a personal trainer look good.
I used to tell every client two things:
1. Never make me look bad.
2. Always make me look good.
How?
By doing the work.
By following the plan.
By staying consistent.
By refusing to quit when progress slowed down.
Here’s the lesson.
If you want the best body, the best health, or the highest level of performance possible, average effort isn’t enough.
You turn over every rock.
You ask questions.
You read.
You study.
You research.
You learn.
Then you execute.
Over and over again.
You become HELL-BENT ON WINNING—not just participating.
Jennifer was relentless.
She probably called me more than any client I ever had.
And I admired every minute of it.
Because every question she asked told me one thing:
She was invested in becoming better.
That’s something no coach can teach.
Curiosity.
Commitment.
Ownership.
Those qualities have to come from within.
When a client gives me 100%, I’ll give them 100% right back.
That’s always been my promise.
As coaches, we can provide the knowledge, the structure, and the roadmap.
But we can’t supply desire.
That belongs to the client.
Jennifer had it.
And that’s why she succeeded.
The Multibolic Lesson™
Excellence doesn’t happen by accident.
It belongs to the people who refuse to stop learning, refuse to stop improving, and refuse to settle for average.
Be the client who asks questions.
Be the person who seeks understanding.
Be relentless.
Because knowledge plus execution will always outperform talent without discipline.
Jennifer proved that over 30 years ago.
