At ten years old I started training with a lead plumbing pipe pushed through old tires and cinder blocks. I trained outside in the rain. In the snow. In the heat. Long before fitness became an industry, I was learning lessons about discipline, consistency, and hard work. Over the next four decades, I studied training, nutrition, performance, behavior change, and human potential. I competed in bodybuilding and powerlifting, trained clients from all walks of life, taught college fitness courses, served in the United States Air Force, and spent thousands of hours helping people pursue better health and performance.
